Adviser Capital is the product of the union of two investment advisors—Adviser Investments and Braver Wealth Management.

Founded in 1987, Braver focused on risk control from the beginning. Braver’s co-founder, Joe Ludwig, first created proprietary tactical strategies for portions of his clients’ portfolios more than 30 years ago. Our current portfolio managers, Charles Toole, Steve Johnson and Josh Jurbala, have been with the firm for a combined 21 years, and we have continued to revamp and revitalize our tactical investment strategies under their leadership.

Adviser Investments was founded in 1994 by Chairman Dan Wiener and Dan Silver with a vision of creating a common-sense money management company and a single account worth $140,000. Chief Investment Officer Jim Lowell joined Adviser Investments in 1997. The firm reached the billion-dollar milestone in late 2006, 12 years after our founding.

Adviser Investments and Braver joined forces in 2017, and Braver Capital Management became Adviser Capital in 2021. The partnership combines state of the art financial planning capabilities with tactical investment product offerings. Together, we’ve become a full-service wealth management firm with over $6 billion in assets under management.

Adviser Capital offers our proprietary tactical and fundamental strategies to institutions, registered investment advisors, and turnkey asset management platforms (TAMPs).

Adviser Capital is an unincorporated division of Adviser Investments, LLC, an SEC Registered Investment Adviser. Prior to January 25, 2021, Adviser Capital operated under the name Braver Capital Management, which operated as an unincorporated division of Adviser Investments, LLC from February 1, 2017 to January 25, 2021.
